Hello everyone I have spoken a lot about the mental health effects of multiple sclerosis up until now but tonight I want to talk a little bit about one of the physical effects in every day life and the best way I have learnt to deal with it. If you are living with Multiple sclerosis you have probably noticed that feeling tired has become your normal state of mind. You are most probably tired from the second your eyes open and you just get more and more tired throughout the day. I know that is certainly how I feel but one of the ways I have found to combat this is by exercise, exercise is great for fatigue and the more you do the more energy you will seem to have. Just be careful not to over do it.But if you are like me at the moment and unable to exercise what else can we do? Well to be honest there aren’t a lot of options that I have found as off yet so my biggest piece of advise in this respect is to listen to your body! In fact even if you can exercise listen to your body. Your body will tell you when it is at its limit and what it needs and it will never lie if you are exercising and it tells you to stop then stop. If you can’t exercise and your body is telling you to sleep then sleep. The body is the only thing that knows what it needs to recover don’t be scared of being called lazy for resting when your body is crying out for it! It doesn’t make you lazy It just makes you smart!
