Trust

Hello everyone as always I hope you are all well. Sorry I didn’t post yesterday I have just been so tired since coming of the steroids. So what should we talk about tonight? Let’s talk about health care teams and the importance of having a good health care team around you. I have had my fair share of bad health care teams since being diagnosed. I had a neurologist who refused to put me on treatment until I had lost the ability to walk. I have had a neurologist who told me I will never walk again and expected me to be happy about it! I had an MS nurse I didn’t like I felt she was rude and not very nice. I now have a new neurologist and although I have only seen her a few times I feel like I can trust her she seems really nice and patient she has never rushed me. And I have a new MS nurse that I am yet to meet but I have heard that she is meant to be very nice. It is so important to have a good health care team around you it’s important you can trust them. Because if you have a health care team you don’t trust I think you’ll probably be more reluctant to listen to them. Like I say I have only seen my new neurologist a few times but I feel like I can trust her. And I am definitely putting more effort in to do as she says than I did with the others I didn’t trust. Apart from trust if you don’t have a good health care team then you will probably feel like they don’t care. I feel like I finally have a good health care team around me which takes some of the pressure of! Make sure you have a good health care team around you!
