What Gilenya Patients Say

4 years last month had mri and only a very small new lesion had no side effects so far touch wood I was dx 21 years ago and didn’t take meds until 2011 when my ms turned aggressive, put on pregabalin and amitripyline then on Avonex. I was ok injecting for 6 mths then all of a sudden I just couldn’t press the auto injector it would take me all weekend to press it and after a year I gave up, 3 days to press the button n 4 days of flu left no days to enjoy life! So I went on techfidera as soon as I went on full dose I had hot flushes, they got bad that the flushes started at 10am lasted until 2:30pm and woke me several hours thr the night, I was told they would settle down but after a year of living in front of a fan I gave up. So you can see why I like Gilenya one pill once a day at night and I forget I’m on it, I tell newbies to the drug that the worst thing is the boredom with having to be observed for 6 hrs when you take the first pill other than that you get your life back.
